so the Indians went above midpoint but probably below market value for Cabrera. I am not upset with that deal at all. If they do not sign him to a long term deal then I am a little confused as to what the front office is doing. Yes, they would be buying high on Cabrera but sooner or later a commitment has to be made, however small. Besides the pre-free agent and arbitration-eligible guys there is no one on this roster that is committed beyond 2013. Not a single dollar committed long term. This concerns me.
