Aubrey to the O's
Michael Aubrey entered the Indians' organization in 2003 with all the tout and talent that comes with an advanced college bat taken 11th overall in the First-Year Player Draft.
Injuries robbed Aubrey, a Tulane product, of the ability to make good on all the lofty projections placed before him. And on Wednesday, he left the organization for a new start elsewhere. The Indians traded the 27-year-old Aubrey to the Orioles for a player to be named.
Dropped from the 40-man roster over the winter, Aubrey cleared waivers and has played the entire '09 season to date with Triple-A Columbus. He was hitting .292 with 16 doubles, a triple, five homers and 29 RBIs in 57 games for the Clippers.
Aubrey has remained healthy for the better part of the last two years, but various ailments, including hamstring, back and knee woes, relegated him to just 107 games played in the Minors from 2003-07. He finally made his Major League debut with the Tribe last year, appearing in 15 games and batting .200 (9-for-45) with home runs in each of his first two starts.

Good luck to Aubrey, unfortunately he's just a shell of what he once was. Baseball can be a real tough game sometimes, and if he had stayed healthy from the get-go, we'd probably have a solid first basemen already.
I'm guessing Marte's next to go this route... of course with Stephen Head & Wes Hodges on their way back to AAA, we had no room for Aubrey. Marte will probably split time with both Hodges and Head at 3B and 1B, respectively.

I'm still wondering if you even know how to pronounce your own last name, noob-cake.

It will be interesting to see if Aubrey can follow in Brandon Phillips, Jeremy Guthrie, Ryan Ludwick, etc. footsteps.

I'm sorry to see him go, but few people saw him being an every-day guy in the Indians organization. I'm interested to see who is the PTBNL, because the O's have some great young talent.
I only hope this doesn't mean that Marte is on his way out, too... he's tearing it up in AAA. Hopefully the next manager will have more favor for young guys like him, Barfield, Phillips, and the like.

Right, Ryan, because the Orioles don't have scouts, apparently? They're not going to hand over Tillman, Arrieta, AND Matusz for Aubrey and his high socks. It's going to be mediocre talent for mediocre talent. They got a crapload in exchange for Bedard and Tejada, they're not going to suddenly say "Hey, we've got TOO MUCH TALENT!" and just hand over Matt Wieters.
C'mon, you're smarter than your post.
