5/19: Indians vs. Royals

Tonight’s 7:05 p.m. ET game at Progressive Field is on WTAM and STO.

 cle8.gifINDIANS (15-22):
CF Crowe, 2B Grudzielanek, RF Choo, DH Hafner, LF Kearns, 1B Branyan, 3B Peralta, SS Donald, C Marson. RHP Justin Masterson (0-4, 5.92).

kc5.gifROYALS (15-25):
LF Podsednik, 2B Aviles, RF DeJesus, 1B Butler, DH Guillen, 3B Callaspo, CF Maier, SS Betancourt, C Kendall. RHP Gil Meche (0-4, 7.17).

I smell a pitching duel tonight — two starters who are 0-8 combined with ERAs way above acceptable.

God, Kerry Wood is AWFUL. Yes, I know there’s more to consider than this, but you realize we could have picked up the options on Lee AND Martinez AND had nearly $4M left over for what we’ve paid and are paying Wood?
Please, for the love of god, don’t let Shapiro sign a free agent ever again.
Is there a rule against using a lefty as a closer? Because Tony Sipp gets my vote.

What a waste. Is there anyway the Indians can have a redo on signing this fuking bum? Two years, $20M down the tube!

Iam a die hard Indian fan since i was a kid. i wonder when Cleveland will make some changes to the roster. Marson needs to go back to the minors,he cant hit. Iam getting tired of seeing Cleveland losing.if they keep this up i will burn all my Indians clothes. and become Pirate or Reds fan.

You sound like a die hard, Randy.

Point, indians! That made me laugh.
Upside, Hafner seems to be getting better with each game, although striking out (looking, no less) with bases loaded hurt (obviously).

LCF, Hafner has looked better as of late. Sipp has been good coming out of the pen. Talbot (knock on wood) has been a nice surprise. Mitch has gone deep in most of his starts too. Fausto has been awesome, or better than last season. Donald has a nice glove and would be a sweet double play combo with Asdrubal Cabrera. Obviously i am judging Donald in two games, but i like what i have seen with the glove. Luis is getting a fair shot to impress the Indians. IMO

Castro (and others),

I’d like to bring to your attention that this was Kerry Wood’s second consecutive blown save against the Royals on a May 19th. I realized this when I looked at the ticket I have up on my wall from the game I took my brothers to in KC last year. If I am the first to bring this to your attention I think it deserves a “shout-out” (weak term, I know) in the minutia!

Yes… ‘indians’…. classic roast! Has anybody found the clip of Wood throwing his glove 5 rows into the stands after his AMAZING performance? I was watching on mlb.tv and they cut to commercial before he got to the dugout. But, Castro tweeted about it, and they had a blip on espn.com about it as well. He must’ve been getting some bad vibes from that glove. I hope the fan that caught it, threw it back onto the field. Do you think Kerry shaved his goatee last night after the BS? If I remember correctly, after he blew his 1st couple saves last year…. he was clean shaven.

I was watching on MLB.tv . in thetv is verygood commercials and i was see on the very good parks and so on.
