Peralta’s days off seem to be awfully close to one another. Hmmmmm……. very interesting. Not sure Butera in for Mauer is a good thing? Mauer hasn’t done much this series anyways.

Let’s get the bats going! C’mon!!!! Little fire…. let’s go!!

I disagree with this Peralta day off. He actually looked more locked in last night than he has all season. His base hit was solid and then he walked a couple times.

ST – I may agree somewhat, offensively he actually looked better than he had the rest of the week. However, I never mind times we don’t see the guy.

Marte’s lifetime stats against Baker are decent…. along with Sizemore and Pronk. Too bad Grudz isn’t in the lineup though. I think he’s like .471 lifetime against Baker.

fans tend to forget about what Peralta provides when he’s actually going well. He’s a career .293 hitter in May. It might sound stupid to think that he’ll hit well in May every year, but he always has in the past. Even last year he hit .316 in May. Every year we go through the Peralta April slump, and every year up to now by July he’s hitting well and people have forgotten about the slow start. Of anyone who’s struggling right now who I’d expect to see their average rise up to career average quickly, it’s Peralta. When he turns it around, it’s usually instantaneous, and he usually starts hitting very well. The way he looked last night made me think he might have done it, he was staying on the ball, fouling off pitches on the outside corner instead of missing them, and obviously being more patient in general. It was probably a scheduled off day, with the night/day games, but still plans can change, I’d have him in there.
