is this a scheduled off-day for Grady or is something else going on with his elbow?

This is interesting.
1) Grady has been playing every day for a while now.
2) He went 0-4 yesterday, but he’s been hitting pretty well lately.
3) I saw a ticker on MLB Network that indicated that Grady does REALLY well against Greinke (I don’t have the numbers to back that up, though – no, wait, the 1.009 OPS might have something to do with that, not to mention the 11 RBI in just 36 ABs).
So sitting Grady today seems to raise some questions. We’re one week out from September — are we going to see him shut down for the year for elbow surgery?

AC, you have the wrong game time.

Thank goodness Wedge stopped playing Gimenez and is giving consistent starts to Marte.

Shut down Grady and Travis ! Since we’re in the “get ready for next year” mode with the rest of the team it’s only logical to do what needs to be done NOW so we’re really ready when spring training comes around.

Sure, that makes sense, to give Grady a day off, when Grady’s one of the few guys on the team who can hit Greinke. Yeah, that makes total sense.
I never realized how literally Wedge took the “one game at a time” thing until this very moment. No one could look at, say, THIS web site and the pitching match-ups that were coming up and think “maybe we should rest Grady against Meche (who he is now 0-10 against, by the way) so he can play against Greinke?”
Isn’t that the kind of thing managers are supposed to do?

Choo is CF should be interesting…WHEEEEEEEEEEE.

Outstanding information it is definitely. I have been waiting for this information.
