5/26: Indians vs. Rays
Tonight’s 7:05 p.m. ET game at Progressive Field will air on WMMS 100.7 FM (because of some basketball game) and STO. Victor Martinez gets a rare day off. Grady Sizemore remains in the DH spot, as the Indians continue to take precautions with his sore elbow. A DL trip is possible. More on that later.

Wow Jhonny in the 3 hole, Derosa in LF nice line up again. I mean can’t we just stick with one for at least 3 days.
Do you really expect Wedge to develop consistency all of a sudden?
AC – if Kelly is playing CF, we’re in trouble . . .
And is it really doing the Indians any good to prolong Grady’s elbow recovery – just put him on the DL, and call LaPorta back up to play LF every day.
I am just glad Ryan is in the lineup. Lord knows Wedge has benched a guy who hit 2 Home Runs the night before in the past.
Ah, yes, the old “guy just broke out of an 0-18 slump, so now we’ll give him the day off” move. Makes perfect sense.
I agree LACF. I am curious as to whether Shoppach will be on this team much longer. I know people like him, but the dude is struggling and I think part of that may be because he doesn’t get everyday at bats. I would like to see his value. Lord knows, if there is one position we have depth in it is the Catcher position.
Shoppach had great value 5 months ago… my guess is he’s not going anywhere.
