"A Festivus for the rest of us!"

This blog’s been on a bit of a hiatus the last few days, and it will likely remain that way through the holidays, barring breaking news.

But I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a happy holiday season. I’d like to think we’ve had some fun and some good dialogue on this blog in its first year. And we were, in fact, the eighth-most viewed blog on MLB.com in 2008. (I don’t pretend to know if that’s significant, but at least we beat out those Dodger-loving Italians, Tommy Lasorda and Alyssa Milano.) Here’s hoping the fun continues in 2009.

In the meantime, there’s a new mailbag up on the site today, and we’ll have our usual year in review/preview content up there in the coming days, as well.

Best regards, thanks for reading and may your aired grievances be few and your feats of strength be many.

I hope you a great holiday season. I check this blog daily, thanks for all the good reads.

I to am a daily checker of this blog, and would like to say thank you for adding this to the site. I know it take a little extra time and work, but I, and I am sure all of your readers, really appreciate it. Happy Holidays to you as well. As fun as this year was on this blog, hopefully 2009 will be a little bit more exciting and rewarding for us Indians fans. Thanks again.

You’re the best in the business AC, happy holidays to you and your family.

Thanks for all the updates on the Indians. Have a Happy Holiday and if you don’t post before the New Year Best of luck going into 2009.

Big Indians Fan and you do a great job of keeping us up to date with all the news and trades during the season and off season.

Thanks again!

Thanks for doing your part to keep us informed. I also check daily.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!!

Happy holidays, Ant-ney and all the commenters. Thanks for a great blog and keeping last season moderately entertaining.

I do find it interesting that you beat out Milano – she always has like 70 comments on every one of her posts (and they’re usually guys saying they’ll give her their phone numbers – hilarious). Oh well, great job AC. Thanks again!

Happy holidays AC the indians and MLB.com are very fortunate to a very good beat writer like you. And hopefully 2009 will be a little bit more exciting and rewarding for us tribe fans hopefully the playoffs in 09. Take Care and Merry Christmans AC.

Happy Festivus to you too! and For the “rest of us”, a very happy holidays, may it be Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, or Festivus. Can’t wait until the season to start. Looks like injuries have healed for the most part, and Westbrook should bring that extra umph for the second half. Looking forward to next year!

Go tribe!
