The other pieces…

Milwaukee's WSSP radio reported that Triple-A Nashville left-hander Zach Jackson would come to the Indians along with LaPorta, and the Wisconsin State Journal reported that Class A West Virginia right-hander Rob Bryson and one other player would also be included.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel speculated that the other player could be Class A third baseman Taylor Green and that the Indians might have designs on moving him to second base.

Jackson is 1-5 with a 7.85 ERA at Triple-A Nashville in 22 appearances, including six starts. He was with the Brewers briefly this year.

Bryson is 3-2 with a 4.25 ERA in 22 appearances, including five starts, at Class A West Virginia.

Green is batting .298 with 10 homers and 54 RBIs at Class A Brevard County.

Expect the trade to be announced Monday around noon ET.

Once again here we are ! Hope it works out for us ! SAD TO SEE THE BIG MAN GO !!! GOOD LUCK CC THANK YOU FOR ALL THE GREAT MEMORIES !!! IT HAS BEEN FUN WATCHING YOU GROW UP !!! ALL THE BEST !!!!!!

Congrats on being on top of this story for the entire news story…Is there any chance you will now get your own bobble head?

I’m sad to see C.C. go. Given the unlikihood of re-signing him, I think the deal was the way to go. I am surprised they pulled the trigger this quick after deciding to trade him. I thought maybe they would try to get a competing bidding war going for him to try and get the price higher. Is this an indication on how good they think the Milwaukee prospects are?

Too bad the Indians couldnt keep him… but the prospects seem promising. LaPorta, our hopes are in you now, dont blow it.

Why are we trading for more up-and-coming outfielders? We don’t know what to do with the multitude we’ve got now? Not considering the ones we’ve got on the major league team now, but there are some decent ones in the minors (Snyder, Goleski, Crowe, etc.) that apparently just around to fill out the minor league ranks?
Is this one of those “but look, we got their top prospect’ deals, because that last time we made one of those moves, the result was a 3B who finally got an RBI this season on Saturday.

Anyway, thanks CC for everything you did here in Cleveland. Good luck with the Brewers and say hey to Russell Branyan and Bernie the Brewer for us!
